Empowering Future Innovators: DataVolt Trainees Showcase Breakthrough Solutions at ITEX 2026

3 DataVolt trainees celebrate success at ITEX in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 21 May 2026 – At DataVolt, innovation starts with people. Through our partnership with the Energy & Water Academy (EWA) in Saudi Arabia and Shirin College in Uzbekistan, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of digital infrastructure talent; creating problem-solvers and equipping them with the skills to tackle real-world challenges.

This year, three of our exceptional trainees earned the opportunity to represent DataVolt and EWA at ITEX 2026 in Malaysia, Asia’s premier innovation event, and showcase their own engineering inventions they have developed as part of their studies.

From Training to Global Stage

The journey to ITEX 2026 began at the EWAthon Innovation Camp, where trainees refined their ideas, strengthened their technical capabilities, and developed the confidence to present on a global platform. Selected from a pool of 88 trainee ideas, our DataVolt trainee projects reflect a shared ambition: to create scalable, practical solutions that address some of today’s most pressing global challenges.

Innovating for a Sustainable Future

Diyorbek Ismatov: Advancing Access to Clean Water

Diyorbek’s innovation is a solar-powered water purification system designed to make safe drinking water more accessible. By leveraging solar energy and low-temperature evaporation, the system can purify water efficiently in both fixed and portable formats.

This solution is particularly impactful for regions with limited access to clean water, as well as for travellers and remote communities.

Aljury Alqurashy: Smarter Renewable Energy Systems

Aljury’s project focuses on improving the performance and reliability of renewable energy systems through a Smart Multi-Source Hybrid Energy Panel.

By integrating solar, thermoelectric, and hydrovoltaic technologies, the system addresses common inefficiencies, such as performance loss due to heat and energy gaps during non-solar hours, unlocking more consistent and efficient energy output.

Lamyaa Alrashedi: Enhancing Solar Efficiency

Lamyaa’s innovation tackles a critical challenge in solar systems: heat management. Her project improves inverter efficiency and longevity by reducing internal heat, helping systems operate more effectively over time.

As global demand for solar energy continues to grow, solutions like this play a vital role in enhancing system performance and sustainability.

Building the Future Through Talent

The creativity, technical expertise, and determination of our trainees was well received, with the team coming home with 5 medals between them. More importantly these wins highlight the success of our training programs in partnership with EWA and Shirin College, and demonstrate the pivotal role of education, mentorship, and industry collaboration in building the future talent pipeline for the digital age.

  • Currently, we have 30 trainees (8 females) for our first Cohort
  • Trainees will graduate in March 2027, aligned with our Tashkent IT Park Project
  • First year employment focused on Data Center experience and certification

Data Science & AI Certified Programs - Saudi Arabia

DataVolt has established a tri-partnership with the Energy & Water Academy (EWA) and Innovatics to deliver a one-year Diploma in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Saudi Arabia

Our Commitment

• Diploma approved by TVTC and the College of Excellence (CoE)
• HRDF funding approval secured for program delivery
• One of the first industry-integrated Diplomas in Data Science & AI
• Aligned with Vision 2030 and MCIT objectives for AI capability development

• Partnered with EWA through a funded HRDF Diploma in HVAC & Electrical
• Currently, we have 88 trainees (45 females) across two cohorts
• Our first trainees (Cohort 1) of 30 will graduate in August 2026
• Target employment in DataVolt facilities in Riyadh
