We are pleased to announce that DataVolt has signed a MoU with the IT Education Association in Uzbekistan around the exchange of experience and support in the field of information technologies, digital infrastructure, and AI.
During the AIIB annual meeting, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan, Co-Chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council and Chairman of ACWA Power. Vision International Investment, a leading holding company established in 2002, includes major entities such as ACWA Power (energy sector), Unigas (oil and gas), DataVolt (IT), and AirProducts Qudra (chemicals). Headquartered in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Vision International manages assets worth $100 billion and operates over 100 global projects, employing approximately 100,000 people.
Vision International is a key partner to Uzbekistan, actively involved in significant strategic projects. These include the development of the New Tashkent Airport, liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and distribution, the construction of a renewable energy-powered data center, and the modernization and management of water sanitation systems in the Jizzakh and Fergana regions under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation with Saudi companies and advancing joint initiatives.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized the successful collaboration with ACWA Power, highlighting its pivotal role in attracting Saudi investment to Uzbekistan. Both parties agreed to accelerate projects in energy, transport, ICT, healthcare, agriculture, and the modernization of heating systems.
