Beeline Uzbekistan to be one of DataVolt’s anchor tenants at Tashkent IT Park data center following signature of agreed commercial terms; separate MoU to explore potential cooperation in Bukhara
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Wednesday 17 June 2026 – At the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Beeline Uzbekistan (part of the VEON Group) and DataVolt (a global operator of large-scale data centers), have today signed two memorandums of understandings (MoUs). Under the first MoU, which sets out agreed commercial terms, Beeline Uzbekistan will become a major tenant in DataVolt’s Tashkent IT Park data center. Under the second, MoU, the parties will consider jointly exploring a further cooperation in a data center project located in Bukhara as part of a shared vision to support the country’s ongoing digital transformation.
Aligned with the Government’s “Digital Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy”, the agreements underline both parties’ commitment to developing digital infrastructure projects amid rapidly growing demand for computing capacity, cloud solutions and AI-based services.
Under the first MoU, Beeline Uzbekistan will secure access to a significant amount of capacity within DataVolt’s Tashkent IT Park data center, known as TAS-1, becoming one of the facility’s first and largest tenants. Under the second MoU, the two parties also agree to evaluate the opportunity for joint collaboration and operations of a potential data center infrastructure project in Bukhara, reaffirming DataVolt’s long-term investment plans in Uzbekistan. This will not only bring significant additional capacity to the market but also accelerate Uzbekistan’s digital transformation, enhancing access to cloud and AI services and further strengthening the country’s position as a major digital hub in Central Asia.
“Every digital service our customers use depends on a data center somewhere. We believe that, for Beeline Uzbekistan’s digital services, that somewhere should be Uzbekistan. Sovereign data storage and processing deliver superior customer experiences, enhance resilience and security, and keep more economic value within the country. Our partnership with DataVolt helps lay the foundation for Uzbekistan to become the digital hub of Central Asia and a destination for the next generation of digital investment,” said Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON Group.
“Telecommunications networks are no longer just connecting people and devices — they are becoming platforms for distributing computing power and digital intelligence. By developing world-class data center infrastructure with DataVolt, we are creating the foundation for AI services, local data processing and digital innovation at scale. This partnership supports Uzbekistan’s ambition to become the digital and AI hub of Central Asia,” noted Evgeniy Nastradin, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan.
DataVolt’s Tashkent IT Park data center is set to become one of Central Asia’s largest AI-ready data centers. Located within IT Park Uzbekistan, the facility will provide 12 MW of IT capacity, delivering Tier-3 uptime and enterprise‑grade reliability. Designed to support high-density cloud and AI workloads alongside enterprise IT deployments, the data center will offer carrier-neutral connectivity, as well as advanced security and redundancy capabilities. Sustainability is a key part of DataVolt’s long-term strategy with the company working towards powering the facility with green electricity as part of its broader Net Zero ambitions.
“This partnership with Beeline Uzbekistan marks a major milestone in DataVolt’s operations as we prepare to open our first data center facility in Uzbekistan in December 2026. Combining our expertise in delivering AI-ready critical infrastructure with Beeline Uzbekistan’s cloud and connectivity services enables us to offer a robust full-stack solution to the market that will help accelerate Uzbekistan’s ongoing digital transformation and position the country as a major digital hub in Central Asia,” said Rajit Nanda, CEO of DataVolt.
The signing of the memorandums reflects the maturing of the Uzbek market to a stage of active data infrastructure capacity building. The consolidation of international expertise and investment from companies such as DataVolt, will support the accelerated growth of the data center segment and the strengthening of the country’s position as a regional hub of digital services in line with the “Digital Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy”.
